ラテン語の「omnipotens」から来ており、「omni（全て）」と「potens（力を持つ）」が合わさった言葉です。

omnipotentは「全能の、万能の」という意味を持つ形容詞で、神やスーパーヒーローなどのように、どんな力でも持っている、無敵の存在を表します。上級レベルの英語試験などで出題されることがありますが、一般的な会話やビジネスシーンではあまり使われません。
